We gether here today in Zhenhzhou to join the 2nd Global Outsourcing Summit. As the mayor, I feel hornered and proud. Please allow me, on behalf of Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government and people of Zhenghzhou, to take this opportunity to extend our warm welcome to the officials, experts and entrepreneurs from home and abroad, and our heartfelt thanks to Asia-pacific CEO Association and International Outsourcing Center, whose efforts have made this summit a success.

Zhengzhou is located in the middle of China, with Yellow River to the north and Mount Song to the west. With an area of 7,446 square kilometers and a polulation of 7.36 million, zhengzhou is composed of 6 districts, 5 cities, 1 county, a state-level development zone and export processing zone. Zhengzhou is one of the most important national transportation hubs and commercial centers in China. As one of the eight anicient capitals and a historical and cultrual city, it has won many titles, such as China Excellent Tourism City , Techonologically Adcanced City, National Model Green City, etc. Zhengzhou also boasts several industrial bases, such as metallurgical industry base, food industry base, bus production base, and so on. Moreover, it also has competitive edge in many other industries, such as electronic information, advanced materials, biomedicine, etc. It has more than 350 high-grade commodity transaction markets and is an important national distribution market for commodities like automobile, clothes, agricultral products, construction materials, etc. Zhenhzhou also sees a fast development of financial industry. 17 banks have their institutions in Zhengzhou. Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, the first futures market approved by the State Coucil, is one of the three largest commodity exchanges in China.

In recent years, the exhibition area has reached 1 million square kilometers. Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (ZZICEC) is the largest in scale, complete with fuctions and equipped with the most advanced technologies in the central and western areas of the country.

Focusing on the goal of building a regional central city of China, Zhengzhou speeds up its development. With enhanced comprehensive economic strength, its GDP is expected to reach 300 billion yuan this year and the social and economic development of Zhengzhou will be brought into a new height. With the implementation of the strategy of “rise of Central China”, its status as the core city in middle China will be manifested and it will become more vibrant. As an important part of high-end service, the international outsourcing industry is charaterized by high technology content, high added value, low pollution and energy consumption, so it has become a new industry for developing country to undertake the high-end industrial transfer from the developed countries and get integrated into the world.
